HEAT Ltd has just been included in the prestigious Sunday Times Top 100
Best Companies to work for, the only company in Ireland to achieve this in 2006.
The award winning Belfast company has surpassed previous achievements by
reaching 31st place, the first time entering these
awards.
Employees at HEAT felt they 'Could make a difference' and gave the company
a resounding 82% positive score, 4th overall in the top 100 ranking. The company
also matched this 4th place in the 'Work - Life' balance ranking.
HEAT has annual sales of £20 million and last year spent £60,000 on social events
for its staff, as well as a further £60,000 on charitable donations as requested by
staff.
No wonder the staff believes the company puts back into the community, by voting
the company an 18th ranking.
The company runs a first class Apprentice development programme, covering social
as well as technical skills, has a generous pension scheme and has given all employees

HEAT specialize in social housing domestic heating design, installation & servicing
- and carry out work for public sector bodies such as the Northern Ireland Housing Executive
(NIHE), Leeds North West Homes, Dublin City Council, Manx Gas as well as a number of large
blue chip clients, and private customers, installing in excess of 5000 new heating systems
each year and carrying out around 90,000 services per year.
